Breast feeding and medication is definitely a bad idea unless you have already talked with the doctor and he/she could assure you that there is no harm that can result from the medication. The infant usually gets whatever food protein and other things through his meals and from the milk he/she takes from mother’s milk.

Babies need their food every two-three hours a day. Breast feeding at this stage would be great. However, you should be sure that no medication is taken unless is okayed by a medical practitioner. Many medications that work wonders (positive sense of the world) may combine with others and result in total poison; hence it is always required to closely monitor the treatment.

The length of the treatment, the importance of the treatment and the reason of the treatment would be clarified. The breast feeding and medication correlation would determine the safety of the treatment for the infant.

This is a good combination of breast feeding and medication which can be encouraged throughout the time of infancy and even further.
